ITI Newsletter - May 2011

Good afternoon and welcome to the May 2011 edition of the ITI Newsletter. Each month, Independent Tertiary Institutions (ITI), an industry body representing a diverse range of high-quality private providers, publishes a collection of stories highlighting student success and positive learning outcomes.

This month, we are delighted to profile two new ITI members, the New Zealand School of Education (NZSE) and the International Pacific College (IPC). Both are quality providers in their respective fields and we know they will make a strong contribution to our group and to broader education policy debates, particularly in an election year.

Visual effects students from the Media Design School (MDS) have been busy creating promotional videos for a worthy Global Action project. Their work is always outstanding and a link is provided below to watch the videos. New Zealand Management Academies (NZMA) students successfully ran a series of cultural events for over 250 guests to test their organisational skills, customer service and food safety in real-life situations.

The International Travel College (ITC) shares the stories of five distance/on-line learners and the real difference their courses have made in their lives. Finally, a former lecturer from Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design has curated a major art exhibition in Italy to mark the anniversary of the Battle of Monte Cassino, a battle which involved many New Zealand soldiers.
