Renaissance Tours employs 50 ITC students

Auckland’s cruise season has started, and several cruise ships are scheduled to dock in the harbour over the busy summer period, bringing many overseas visitors to Auckland’s doorstep.

Students from the International Travel College (ITC) will be working on the frontline when ships arrive, welcoming visitors into Auckland and processing tickets and related paperwork. Renaissance Tours has hired 50 ITC students to work as check-in agents at The Hilton throughout the summer.

Leading independent educational services provider ACG is making a big splash in the tertiary education sector.

Previously focused on early childcare through to secondary education and university pathways, the education heavyweight has now launched a Tertiary and Careers Group, and already has three top-ranked tertiary providers in its portfolio. The most recent acquisition is ITI member NZMA, which ACG purchased two months ago. With three campuses and around 3000 students, NZMA is well-known as a hospitality and cookery school. The school also delivers training in business, contact centre, retail and construction, and is ACG’s largest private training establishment.

And, even more so, to come up with the concept of two Martians coming to New Zealand on their 1000-year pilgrimage to party at WOW! But that’s just what TLC Kids Art Tutor, Gabrielle Edmonds, and former work colleague, Allison MacKay, did with their double-costume entry ‘Love and Kisses’.
